River Ridge Library

Located in River Ridge, Louisiana, the River Ridge Library entail new construction of a 10,500sf library that was designed with children’s services in mind. As you walk in, you are greeted by artist’s, Matthew Placzek‘s 7-foot butterflies. This theme is continued through the open floor plan with luminous color schemes and butterfly details throughout the building and fixtures. Designed by Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects, the River Ridge Library boasts a 26-computer technology center, multiple conference areas, a principal meeting room with the latest technology, study rooms, and a dedicated children’s area. The children’s area has a designated room designed to entertain the littlest of library patrons. The exterior of the building exhibits traditional Louisiana flavor, and incorporates materials like face bricks, cast stone masonry, and stucco. This ground up structure also includes a sloped gable roof and covered porches.
