Sausalito House

Located in California’s idyllic Sausalito, Healdsburg-based practice Obie Bowman Architects designed a sun-soaked coastal contemporary refuge with a sweeping view of San Francisco Bay. Clad in horizontal planks of cedar, the 4,000sf residence is thoughtfully angled for optimized views of the Belvedere, Tiburon, Angel Island, Alcatraz and the skyline of downtown San Francisco with minimal disturbance. The result is a home that feels like it is a natural extension of the Sausalito landscape. The contemporary architecture has clean lines.

The home features large floor to ceiling windows, open kitchen area, custom corrugated metal wall coverings, massive sliding doors and a large walk through closet. The result is an understated contemporary coastal aesthetic that harmoniously plays with the surrounding natural elements.
