Tam Ridge Residences

Tamal Vista provides the City of Corte Madera with much needed density and housing. Designed by Oakland-based practice TCA Architects, the 180-unit, 300,000sf apartment development in Marin County is a highly visible project located on a coveted 5-acre site in Corte Madera next to Highway 101. For acoustics and air quality, townhomes on the parking structure are focused away from the highway and accent the residential open space. The project consists of 6 buildings constructed of concrete podiums with wood framing above.

Overall construction duration was 16 months for completion which was achieved by a highly accelerated schedule and preparations to work through one of the wettest winters on record along with an already high rainfall microclimate area due to its proximity to Mt. Tamalpais. Architectural interior detailing materials and colors complement the town of Corte Madera’s existing vernacular. Highly coordinated site planning and landscaping facilitate natural storm water purification and contribute towards the projected LEED Silver Sustainability program.
